These little Solar Dynamo Radio Lights are great gifts for Californians who are paranoid about earthquake because they are so real to us. I bought 3. I am planning to buy a few more for my friends in Hawaii who have power outages during hurricanes and even with strong winds. I am planning to buy them for my grand nephews in Ann Arbor to chase away the boogie men under their beds during power outages due to heavy snow. Every region in the U.S. with its unique natural disaster could use this nifty little fashlight/radio.
Lost power for 14 hrs day after product was delievered. We had a light/radio. Weather band was important as icy weather moved into our area. We used the solar function to charge and the crank come night fall, both where easy, long lasting charge! Easy to use, clear signal even in the remote area we live in, light was very bright. Our 4 yr old can't wait to take it camping or for the power to go out again so he can use is blue radio/light!
We bought this to use in an emergency...no electricity, traveling in the car, etc.. We have no land line phone and were concerned how we would power our cell phones. We had to buy an adapter cord at our cell phone store for $10 to be able to plug it in to charge. The radio is a great value for our peace of mind. Works perfectly.
