I bought this for my husband for his birthday, and he loved, loved it. He is a radio afficionado and thought this radio was so cleverly assembled. He immediately thought of all sorts of times and places where he would use it. We will never, ever have to worry about replacing batteries.
Not what I expected, probably due to my own fault. The radio is really tiny, please check the measurements before you buy it. It says it will play @30 mins after being cranked (powered) for 90 secs- NOT true! You may get 15 mins, if at all. Also, I was hoping for a battery option- it does not have. But again, I did not read the specifications right. I will keep the radio because I may need in emergency- it does have good reception.
Solidly built, compact, great for the beach, camping, take it kayaking or just stay in touch with the outside world during a New England ice storm. Good value, good price!
I always wanted a crank-up radio, and this one is just perfect. About two minutes of crank time will result in about an hour of service, and the quality of the flashlight is superb!
