I have been wanting to buy something like this for a long time. I recently purchased the Solar Dynamo Radio Light because it had everything that I wanted. It was such a good deal that I also purchased for my sister and a friend. I will be great for emergencies, black outs, camping, or everyday use. The radio works great and the light is really bright too. I also love that it has a little outlet for your cellphone to recharge too. I would definitely recommend this great little gadget.
This is a surprisingly nice little radio! I wasn't sure what to expect, so I must say my expectations were exceeded. It has amazing sound for such a little radio, much greater volume than I would have thought, yet remains clear without distortion. However, I did have an issue with the volume control having static right out of the box. The solar and crank power options are awesome. I did not try the cell phone charger part, but it has a USB port to use for this option. The LED light and weather radio options really complete this for an emergency radio, as well as an all around portable radio.
I got this just before Christmas and played with it. Going out of state I threw it in my bag just in case. Mother Nature threw me a curve and I used the NOAA stations to determine when to return home. That was more important than other features. I was shocked to find out that 15 minutes of cranking would give me about a minute of cell use which makes this feature usless except in an extreme emergency. Light is probably Ok but hope I do not need it.
