Bought this for my friend's 12 year old son for Christmas. He LOVES it! He brings it everywhere. I was surprised with the quality of the radio stations. There are very clear and the volume control is very good. He does alot of camping as a Boy Scout so I thought this would be a great gift especially that it is solar also. Great choice!
Very nice for such a tiny radio...wish the photocell power only needed indoor lighting and not require sunlight...cranking is a bit tiring...it would be nice if power cord/adapter were provided as is done in similar products. or regular batteries in addition to the solar/crank powered batteries.
We bought two. One for my sister-in-law who lives alone. She was tickled to get it. Something she had wanted for a while to use as an emergency light and radio plus a cell phone charger. The light was bright and will last for a while then she can re-charge it. The second was for us. I actually ordered it the next day for my husband . When he unwrapped the package and found 2. He wrapped one up for me but my intention was for him so he has been as tickled as his sister. I a little disappointed it was not a surprise.
This item was purchased for each of our family members & several friends for Christmas. This is a fantastic, all inclusive item at a great price! We would recommend this item for many reasons; primarily focusing on the availability of staying connected in the liklihood of power outages during severe natural weather and/or any other disaster.
