Really did not care for it. First - it's solar powered. There's no sun in the winter here in the northeast. Second - it also runs using a crank in the back but you have to crank it more than I wanted to for it to stay powered up. I returned it.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 7 year old nephew, the future engineer. He loves anything mechanical but especially flashlights. He loved this! It really has a lot of different uses which is so nice in such a compact item. I kind of want one for myself now...

Got this so I have something to use for light and information in case of an emergency. The crank handle was the perfect solution (so that I don't need to have to rely on batteries, or worry about them running out), and the radio was great (not only for weather...). Especially liked the idea of having a cellphone charger. I didn't test that yet (did try the radio and flashlight and they worked after a very little cranking!), but I'm gonna do so next and have high expectations. All told, it is a little thing that can help a lot. Fits in the palm of my hand (or a pocket of a jacket, or any camping/hiking gear). Great. I'm gonna get some for gifts next time around. Can't think of anyone who can't find good use for this!
