ProsGreat Value, ideal for a gift, has a bright led light
This is a handy and useful item. The only problem is not enough output when cranking to charge my Blackberry. It will be fine for any phone with a smaller mAh battery. I cranked for 20 minutes to try and move my Blackberry charge up 1% and it never happened. Don't get me wrong, it works perfectly fine for all other devices I have tried. It would still probably buy me more talk time on my Blackberry in an emergency. I think I may purchase more for Christmas gifts this year.
Solar charge internal battery has very short life -10 min max. Crank charge lasts 15 min. No option for batteries. Needed emergency weather radio to use to warn during the night. Returned and ordered larger emergency radio instead which has battery back up.
It's a clever little item but the radio is not much and the weather band is almost useless. I live in a metro area where weather bands are easy to find....not so with this little item. I'd save my money and buy a separate, quality weather band radio and a separate Dorcy flashlight.
