I ordered this radio for my own household last winter after we had a 22 hour power outage due to a snow storm. A few weeks later, we had a 26 hour power outage and we were well equipped with news from our local radio station. During the day, we placed the radio by the window and it operated on solar power, when it got dark, we powered it up using the crank. I like this item so much, I ordered two more to give as gifts this Christmas. The radio is small, fits in the kitchen drawer and is a very handy item to have during a power outage.
This is a very good emergency item in case of a power outage. Also a very good radio/light for outings, picnic, and camoing. Good guality sound as a portable radio. I have been using mine in my small wood working shop.
Was surprised at how small this was... initially disappointed but once I started using was very very happy... Perfect size fits right in my purse and works terrific!
