Checked out the AM & FM radio reception in rural Ocean County, NJ. All seemed to work ok. Maybe someday I'll miss not having a battery to power the device.
I was thrilled to have this radio during the Giants' playoff games. We don't have a TV or radio, and this radio came the day the games began. It works beautifully if you can leave it in the sun for several hours. It got us through some of the playoff games. HOWEVER during the last few games when the sun wasn't shining at our house and we had to rely on cranking the radio, it kept cutting off all the time. I'd crank it for a full 90 seconds as recommended, and it wouldn't keep it's charge long. I'm not certain if it is just a faulty one, or that the product is not performing as expected.

Great little radio for the money. I bought this radio at my local LLBean store. great reception. i use this radio the W/b when i am fishing and bad wather is on the horizon. now with winter on our door step great little radio to have in the home. i am going to buy a second one for the wife to have for when I am not home with mine.

Haven't given this radio a true challenge yet, but out of the box, I'm thrilled. This is one small radio! With the flashlight and cell phone charger, it is an awesome package. Add to that solar and/or hand cranking power and it's a marvel! Minimal packaging and speedy delivery. This will def come in handy for camping, blackouts, and more!
