I bought this for my 92 year old Mom -She still likes to live alone in a beautiful duplex, but in her area she loses power quite often. She needed something she could have contact with the outside world and emergency lighting along with a power sorce for her cell phone. This was perfect- she loves it- its not complicated- She can charge the solar battery in her window sill or can easily hand crank it! She keeps it handy and several of her friends now want one also! She has not stopped raving about her handy solar radio gadget. Thank you so much- its been one of the best Christmas gifts I ever bought for her. Also she has used it in a recent power outage- snow storm hit and she was prepared and still very independent!
Great radio reception - weather, AM/FM. Fantastic flashlight. Best of all you don't have to worry about having batteries. A few cranks of of the handle and you're all set to go. Great to take camping, car trip or just to have at home for emergency power outages.
The radio does not pick up FM stations very well. It appears the antenna should be made to pull better reception. Overall the light is bright and efficient for all uses and the crank is fairly easy to operate. If the radio worked better I would give it a five star rating.
Has very good features on it, and it's very small and handy. The reception seems to be very good, even way out in our area of N. Mexico. This is our second one that we have purchased, for our survival kits, we were very happy with the first one, that we purchased a second one, for just in case.
