When my husband opened this gift, he beamed with delight. We have had bad weather, with one day & night without power. This solar radio/light makes him feel securer! Great little, hand held, crank/solar emergency item!
I have purchased four radio lights for family and friends. We have used the radio in situations as diverse as fishing, a college dorm and while waiting in a car. The light is a good strength for walking. We do not have a connection for the cell phone charger yet so cannot comment on that. I have run the radio and light on both solar power and the wind-up mechanism with equal success.
i bought this for my friend for christmas because she goes to the beach often and i thought it was a great little radio. i liked it so much,i am going to get myself one too. i bought my husband the bigger one, especially for the weather band.
I gave 3 of these radio/flashlights to my husband and grown children for Christmas and they were a massive hit with them. Quite a bit of time was spent winding them up, shining the flashlights and listening to the radio on Christmas morning! They are well-made and very practical. My daughter has already used hers to find her missing cat in the dark!
