I was fan of these and have been through a few pairs. They never held up all that well but were always exceptionally comfortable. The most recent pair I bought a couple months ago just don't seem the same. They seem stiffer and narrower and I can't walk nearly as far in them.
I presently own three pairs of these shoes. The oldest, about 4+ years and the other two about 3+ years. They are the most comfortable shoes I own, or have owned EVER ! My first pair is smooth leather and my later two pairs are suede. I wear them everywhere! The only exception would be for weddings, where patent leather black shoes are required. Below I list my pros: 1) They fit true to size. 2) They are waterproof, if not water resistant for at least three years ! I have worn them in snow, slush and rain. I am not exaggerating. I have a 94 lb. dog and he must go out at least twice a day - no matter what the weather is like. I do not wear them in standing water - I have my LL Bean duck boots for that. 3) They have the best sole tread pattern ever designed. They are easily cleaned out - no matter what you step in, unlike those intricate tread patterns that look 'rugged' and great but are a pain to clean out. 4) My Comfort Mocs in suede have aged better than my Comfort Moc in smooth leather. I wish it were the other way around but truth be told that is simply the way it is. 5) the 'break in period' is zero. They are a little looser after four years than day one. They are super comfortable throughout.
This shoe is perfect! Very comfortable, easy to put on and great quality. Exactly what you would expect from LLBean! I usually fit in a 10, but went 10.5 based on reviews and they are a perfect fit. Nice and wide, lots of room for my toes.
