These are the only shoes my husband wears. We have purchased them over the last several years, and they have been holding up great until this last purchase. Less than a year into these shoes, the seam is ripping out. He has temporarily sewed them back together, and LL Bean is sending us a replacement pair, but I hope the quality problem is corrected soon. Price is also $10 more than when we previously purchased them, so double bummer that the quality is dropping while the price is increasing.
This is my 2nd pair of Men's Comfort Mocs Leather shoe. The first pair was comfortable and well made and it lasted many years. If the sole thread hadn't worn out, I would still be wearing them.
Unfortunately, the most recent pair the I purchased has fallen apart after just 6 months of use. By this, I mean the soles lifted from the front of both shoes... This is not acceptable and they are being returned!
This is the third pair of these for me. First one, retail, lasted a long time, fit great. Second pair, from WWW, fit well, but didn't hold up as long as the first. Third pair, from WWW, the right shoe is 1/2 to 1 size bigger than the left, and as such is unwearable.
I'll go the 40 minute trip to the store to return them tomorrow. What a waste of time and gas. Very disappointing.
