My husband loves this shoe. Bought him a pair for Christmas one year and we continue to buy them as needed. They don't really "wear out". He just starts wearing them in the yard, so we buy new for dressing. Great with jeans, office casual and to slip on to just run out.
I wore out a pair that I was very happy with but the replacements kept coming apart. I tried three times! The last pair started to come apart after only one week! The adhesive they use doesn't seem to hold the leather to the sole. It releases at the very tip of the toes and at the front outer side. My old ones had no issues till they were well worn out and they never did come unglued at the toe. Very disappointed LL Bean. Sent the last ones back for a refund.
This, and many men's shoes these days, are more and more adducted in the forefoot. This causes the shoe to rub against the outer forefoot/toe area (unless your forefoot is adducted too!) Not good for regular and low arched feet (which require more straight lasts) but probably ok for more high arched feet (whose forefoot is more adducted.) These are going back.

bought two different colored pairs to alternate daily. Need to use a shoe horn to slide them on, but they are most comfortable with a pleasantly soft feel when walking.
