I agree with one of the previous reviews that this shoe is NOT a serious walking shoe........it isn't! I learned the hard way. Initial wearing proved them to be comfortable and easy to wear. So much so that I took them to Europe were we do a lot of walking. Big mistake! After 2 days, I experienced foot pain and blisters to the outside of each heel. The big toe of my left foot was also bruised as my toes were being jammed to the front of the shoe by the design.
After 2 weeks, they began to feel a bit better, but by then, the damage was done. This shoe may be great for everyday walking, but NOT for travel.
I bought a pair of these about 5 years ago..Very comfortable and still use them. I recently bought a new pair and had to return because they have changed the width to narrow. Very uncomfortable for a "comfort Moc". Wish they had left the design alone.
We bought two pair of the insulated variety and came back a year-and-a-half later for these because they were so comfortable. Both of us are sensitive to the fit and support of shoes, and with this version we are both having trouble with painful feet (plantar fascia) which we did not have with the insulated version.
These shoes change all the time year by year. The most recent ones I have are a bit large. The brown leather wears a lot more quickly than the black. But they are well made, last a long time and have always been comfortable. They are NOT serious walking shoes though. They are for the casual office/urban environment. More than a half mile is not comfortable.
