Although i like the moc, i have pain in my heels alot and not having the back is a great thing when my heel pain flares up. The merrils don't come in a wide. if anyone find a slide as good somewhare else let me know!!!
These really are comfort mocs: they feel good because they are extremely supple and light. My son loves them -- even asks for them by name! -- and I have stocked up on his next few sizes up, which he will grow into.
For years, I have bought the Men's Comfort Slides, and I was disappointed to learn that they had been discontinued. The Comfort Mocs are a great alternative, however. They have the same platform (VERY comfortable when spending my days on a concrete floor). Lightweight; the suede ones are very durable. Will have to see about the new leather ones, but I like the upgraded look. Contrary to the experiences of other reviewers, I found them true to size, although a "hair" wider than the slides.
I thought maybe some of the good reviews were over the top but they are right on. These shoes look good and they are the best shoe for a long day on the go that I have had in many a year. They also stand up to cold floors. The price is a gift. Well done L.L. Bean.
