Got a pair of these shoes, in brown, a few weeks ago. It took a few days to break them in. After that, they are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I wear a 9 1/2 medium and the fit was perfect.
I have three pairs of these - one pair dating back 13 years - all have been great but the 5 year old pair - sole kept separating from the shoe at the toe on both shoes - I had glued it 3 times, the first of within a year of getting them - the ONLY LLBean purchase that I haven't been completely satisfied with EVER - so last month, I called and complained because other than that, the shoes had been fine - the friendly telephone guy reminded me that they were Guaranteed - Period! So I returned them (at no charge because of my LLBean Visa) and have been wearing the new pair two weeks - comfortable, well-fitting, and well-made - NOT a bit stylish - Perfect! To celebrate, I threw out the 13 year old pair because they were just plain worn out, no fault of LLBean!
I have a lot of foot-related issues... dysfunctional and painful tendons.... no arch. But I also need work shoes that are nice looking and don't draw attention to themselves. I put these on right out of the box and they felt fantastic. The extra cushioning and finished leather give me everything I wanted... and was having trouble finding. Thank you!
They were exactly what I expected. A little tight on the top arch but after a few days they broke in and was what I expected. Hopefully will maintain fit and last. I wear them 2 to 3 days a week. Another quality product from L.L. Bean.
