I recently bought these shoes mainly because of their slip-on design for ease of use through airport security and for travelling. I especially like their black leather design without the usual LLBean logo. The slip-on design, however, requires that they be stiffer than a laceup walking or running shoe, and hence are less comfortable. Overall, they are a reasonable compromise for convenience at a very low cost.
I have had 11 pairs (5 colors) of this version of shoe from LL Bean. Each new version is even better and it is hard to improve on perfection. These are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.
Took me about three days to break them in (I need a wide -- have a high instep), and just recently wore them on a trip to Florida. I wanted to streamline my security check-in, and my mocs proved to be easy off and easy back on. They were also very comfortable the whole time and fit into a wide variety of activities.
I've bough these comfort Mocs for both Grandsons, and my better half twice. The sizes are true, the durability is beyond my expectations. The Grandkids have outgrown them before they have shown any wear. I'll be ordering them again and again.
