I believed the reviewers that recommended buying a half-size down from your regular size for this shoe. Don't believe it. I bought a half size smaller and had to pay the $6.50 to return them because they were far too small. The quality of the shoe is fine. Not a pleasant experience buying shoes when you can't try them on.
I purchased a pair of these a month ago and liked them so much that I ordered a second pair. I will doing a Quick Replacement for the second time (going on third pair) because even though they are stamped with the correct sizes, you can tell just by looking that the shoes in the 'Pair' are not a matched set. Since LL Bean has a lifetime satisfaction guarantee I'm going to let these sit until the new year when hopefully they will have a new shipment in with better quality control. I have to admit I'm disappointed as I expected better from LL Bean.
We live in Seattle and waterproof is the name of the game. My son works out in the weather so I bought him a pair of these shoes two years ago. They worked out very well for him. They are not only comfortable but stylish, and he wore them every day. He has a very wide foot and it was great that they are offered in EE because that width is almost impossible to find. They were at the top of his Christmas list this year! I would recommend them to anyone that wants a comfortable, stylish, waterproof shoe.
Got for my husband who works at corporate events, on feet that have been battered by soccer for years (yes he still plays). Always have my eye out for practical but attractive shoes. Pretty plain out in the box but these actually have a little European look once on. I was impressed at lightweight but substantial sole, then he put them on and didn't take them off for hours. He's a true 9 1/2 and perfect fit and some room for an insert when needed for those long days. Great price! Wish there was tan and that maroonish color.
