Just bought these shorts - I am a size 4 and have found some LLBean 4's are a little big on me but these are a perfect fit. Bought shorts last year and the legs were so wide they were more like a skirt. Some people said these run small so I was hesitant but they were perfect for me. Haven't worn them yet but didn't need to be ironed right out of the package so that's a plus for me.
As other reviews have stated, these shorts definitely do run small. I typically wear a size 4 in the LL Bean chinos and ordered the same in these shorts. They were waayyy tight! I sent them back and exchanged for a size 6 and the 6 is a perfect fit. They are a very nice, classic looking pair of shorts, great for a casual/dressy outfit. Just be aware that you will need to order up one size from what you might usually order.
