I cannot say enough about these shorts. For the first time I have been able to find a pair of shorts that fit, has a tapered leg (so one doesn't look as though they are ready for take-off), are the perfect length and feel like a dream on. I have purchased shorts only to be disappointed from all of your competitors, high-end major dept stores, and boutiques - you name it. I have read some of the other reviews but PLEASE do not change a thing. Yes, I did need to order two sizes up, but the fit is what's important. (who cares about the number) I have purchased every color and the wash and wear are great too! Keep up the great design. PLEASE do not flare out the leg!!
First time ordering this style of shorts and I am so happy with the fit and comfort. I have a generally straight figure, not much of a waist to speak of and prefer slacks and shorts that sit a bit lower than the waist, as these do. Have never found a pair of traditional women's styled jeans or shorts that were a flattering or comfortable fit until now! So relieved that I don't have to 'make do' with styles that do not fit my figure!!
I have four pairs of these shorts from previous seasons. These are larger in the waist, I guess because they're supposed to sit below the waist, and MUCH smaller through the hips/seat. I held these against the pair I'd just taken off and they were about 1/2" wider at the waistband and about 2" smaller through the hips!
Very uncomfortable, unflattering, and thus sent back.
I've loved these shorts for several years. They come out of the washer looking great and they have worn exceptionally well. I hope Bean will offer them in the older fit again!
