I thought I would try one pair of the new design of the Bayside twill flat front shorts. When I read "fitted" in the description I decided to order a size up. I normally order size 14 in the old design. The new size 16 was so tight in the front I thought a size 12 was sent, the seat was also snug but the waist was huge! I could put both of my fists in the back waist area and it was still big. The front waist was fine. The tightness in the front half was across the tummy area and front hips. It was like the front was cut for a 12 but sewn to a 16 back. The pockets had really bad gaps since they were not fitting properly. My hips are 42 1/2" and waist is 31 1/2" --sometimes 32". The old style in a size 16 is quite roomy, as in needs to be taken in. A 16 is suppose to fit a 33" waist and 43" hip. Maybe this is just a bad pair? They are being sent back. I sized up thinking the fitted would mean the 14 would be snug and the 16 would probably fit like a 14. It didn't work out that way.
Thank goodness you still offer the original Bayside twill walking shorts. I found the waist on this "new version" to be huge. It was just a terrible fit, and I have several original shorts in a size 6 that fit nicely. Not a big fan of "change" when it comes to the Bayside line of pants/shorts.
