Order way down.
PostedSeptember 3, 2010
I read other reviews and ordered a half size down, 6 from my usual 6.5. Even so, these were still too large/long. I probably could have gone down to a 5 if available. Width was fine. As there are no smaller size than 6 I had to return them. If they had fit I would have kept them due to the very cushy insole and pretty metallic finish.

Sticky/Squeaky Shoe - Too pricey
PostedJanuary 25, 2010
I had high expectations for this ballet flat. For the price, I was hoping for a cute shoe that would also be comfortable. It had the potential for comfort: the footbed had more cushion than most ballet flats, and the leather seemed soft and flexible (except the heel seemed a bit stiff and I think it would have caused blisters with longer wear).
Problems:
First of all, I was sent two different size shoes. They were both marked 7.5 M, but one was bigger than the other. (You could hold them side by side and see the difference.) Not knowing which one was truly the 7.5, I can't say if they run big like many have complained.
Second, I was unhappy with the lining/footbed. It was a nonabsorbent lining that would stick to my feet and make a sticking/squeaking noise when I took a step (and this was after wearing only a few minutes). Annoying! I knew that this squeaking would keep me from wearing these shoes, no matter how comfy they may be.
Overall, a cute shoe, but the squeaking and the high probability of blisters made it an unwearable shoe for me. Sadly, I wasted my promotional gift cards on this purchase since I didn't want to exchange for another pair of these disappointing ballet flats.

size issues are worth it!
PostedNovember 19, 2009
This is my second pair of LLBean Skimmers and they are also my favorite! The color is great, especially with the holidays approaching.
I ordered my usual size (10) and they are just a hair too big, but I think getting a half size down would've been too small. My feet are a little on the narrow side, so that may have made a difference. Personally, I think these shoes are fabulous enough to exchange for a size that works, even though it's a hassle.
They feel a little more supportive to me than my other LLBean Skimmers (not that they are uncomfortable) and they go with everything. Well worth the investment.

WAAAY TOO BIG
PostedNovember 5, 2009
I ordered this shoe a while back when they had it in a cute sunshine yellow. When they arrived, they were precious. However, they were waaay too big. I normally wear a 6.5 to 7 and ordered a 7. I'm not joking when I say I probably should have ordered a 5. Now, I do have a narrow foot, but this was ridiculous. If you're going to order these, definitely order down.
