The gold seemed to be thin and wearing off in a couple of places, not peeling but just thin and not saturated. Overall this shoe felt very tight and stiff, especially in the toes, and the foot bed felt sticky and uncomfortable. I wear a 7 1/2 and have an average--if not slightly narrower--foot. I ended up returning them.
Very pleased with these flats. The color is great and a nice change from some of Bean's more conventional styles. Purchased a size 8 and so far the fit has been true, without any extra stretching.
I like these shoes and wore them all day at work with no serious problems shortly after purchasing them. The color is great - not too flashy, but cute and interesting and it goes with a lot of outfits. I gave them four stars because they do run a little big - but not big enough to order down a size or return. At least that was the issue in my case.
