My daughter picked these shoes and we loved how cute and flexible they were. Her feet are on the narrow side and she could wear them with socks or barefoot very comfortably.
However after a couple of weeks, these shoes started to STINK. Washing does not seem to help. She does tend to have sweaty feet but I've never encountered a summer shoe that had this odor problem before.
They are cute but I'm going to look elsewhere next time.
I agree with the previous reviewer. This is a very cute shoe and the re-design is better as far as the longer strap is concerned but the angle of the heel area does indeed have a steep angle. This angle causes a great deal of friction on the Achilles Tendon and my daughter had bad blisters and sores on this area. Too bad because the shoe is very cute but an uncomfortable shoe is unacceptable. I did return them.
My girls loved these shoes when I first got them. I bought them on the big side so they could grow into them, but the fit was more tight then I expected. They wore them for about 8 hours and complained about their feet hurting. The heel of the shoe angles inward drastically so it rubbed their heels terribly. I wasn't able to return the shoes because I took the tag off and tossed the return label. I recommend buying at least a size larger than you expect.
