This jacket is very lightweight and packable, as well as waterproof. As others noted, it is a bit too short - I could use another 2 inches of body length, although the sleeves are the correct length for a petite size range jacket. It does look nice.
I am considering returning the jacket, however, because when I wear it over a short sleeved or sleeveless shirt, if my arms are the least bit sweaty the interior fabric sticks to my arms like glue and I literally cannot get the jacket off. I have to get another person to remove the jacket for me. Not good!
I had the opportunity to put this jacket to the test here in Missouri during a recent summer storm. These roll in fast and rain very hard yet the temp was 75 degrees. Visor kept rain off my glasses (major points as no other jacket has this feature). Underarm vents very nice so I was not uncomfortable. Thanks LLBean for offering just what I was looking for.
It hasn't stopped raining in Portland (Oregon) for about 2 months now and its come in handy. The fit is perfect. I like the hood, it does not bunch up on my neck like other jackets have.
The jacket was as light as I expected and what I wanted for traveling light! I love the 2 large inside pockets. I bought it a little larger than my size so I can wear it over my layered clothes.
