ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
My wife and I walk dogs in all types of weather, and I picked this jacket specifically for walking on cold, dark, wet winter days. I typically layer this over a fleece and stay toasty and dry, but if I get too warm the large underarm vents, mesh pockets, and velcro cuffs allow plenty of air to flow. The pockets are large enough to carry gloves and a hat, the taped and bonded seams keep wind and water out, and the Alpine Gold/Warm Orange color helps drivers see us in the rain. This jacket is quickly becoming my new favorite.
I have to go out a few times a day (dogs). With that comes bad weather. I have been using an umbrella but decided to try this. It works great. It keeps me completely dry even in a downpour. If you need to be warm put a sweater under it. It feels kind of flimsy because it is thin but that’s actually a benefit. It works well and can be used in the summer and with layers in the winter. I've only had it for a month and it does not rain every day so time will tell if it is as durable as the other clothing I have brought from Bean over the years.
This is a great jacket for sping or fall rainy weather. I thought it would be a bit heavier when I ordered online, it is more like a waterproof wind-breaker. Very lightweight. My husband loves it.
