My doctor recommended wearing a hat during the summer after I had some skin cancer diagnosed. This hat is lightweight, breathable and does a good job of shading my face from sun. I like how the brim slants down rather than out. I also hiked with this in the rain and it kept the rain out of my face and the nylon dried quickly back at camp.
