I really wanted to like this Comfort Fleece, but..

I am hesitant to rate LL Bean items less than 4 stars but that after buying this item, I have to agree with other reviewers about the inside lining... Very disappointing! It feels cold to the skin when you are wearing a sleeveless tank or a short sleeve T-shirt. My 2 older Fitness fleece jackets (bought at least 6-7 years ago) had always been my to-go clothing all year, I even wore them to Hawaii at the Big Island Volcano National Park few years back. This hoodie didn't even keep me warm when we went through a cold snap during Hurricane Sandy, so I exchanged it for a Comfort Fleece Hoodie, which was fine but I think it would be too warm when we get into 60 degree weather. Please bring back the old fleece lining, I really need something that I could wear all year. I understand if you have to raise prices but please don't change the quality or the lining of this jacket when it's already perfect as it is, which is why I can only give 2 stars because of your great exchange policy....
Toasty to wear indoors or outside on a cool day. Sleeves are long so they fit my taller frame well. I am plump and ordered the XL which fits nicely without clinging. Picked it up on sale and wish I had scooped up several !
I ordered two of these on sale, and here are my comments:
- They mean it when they say lightweight. This is the tissue-paper version of a fleece jacket :-) - It is surprisingly warm and makes an ideal jacket for indoors but I don't think I'd wear it outdoors, it is too thin for that unless as one of several other layers, e.g. underneath a warm jacket. - The sleeves are on the long side which I actually like because usually when I put on a jacket, I want to be warm, and longer sleeves help with that. - The hood is my least favorite part. It just hangs there, thin as it is, no drawstring, no adjustability whatsoever. Given that this is really more of an indoor jacket, the hood is actually not needed. I could do without. - I find this is ideal for traveling because it weighs next to nothing, packs small, and might just be the one extra thing one needs to stay warm. But again: Not by itself, rather use it as an additional layer. - Overall I like it, but for those looking for substantial fleece, don't pick this one, you will be disappointed. The emphasis here is on thin and lightweight, an extra something to keep comfortable when it's a bit on the cold side...
