Right out of the package this hoodie had the beginnings of pilling on the interior material. Not a surprise as I ordered this reluctantly after having read reviews which said there was pilling after washing. I thought perhaps I'd get one that was not defective. No such luck. I still tried it on and found the fleece to be flimsy and the overall fit too loose. For reference I am 5'7", 140 lbs and though I am a bit smaller in the hip area it still shouldn't have been that loose. I'm returning it pronto.
From my experience, this is the softest fleece around. I bought one size up for more relaxed fit. The thinsulate fitness vest is the perfect companion (as is shown with the vest). I've not experienced any pilling problem! Washed hoodie on cold setting then let air dry.
This is a nice light weight jacket overall. It keeps me warm, is cute and easily packed around. I have tied it around my wasit and don't feel like it is bulky. It does pill. I have washed mine several times and still have pilling problems. I also wish it was just a few inches longer as it does not have the complete coverage I would like when bending over and moving around. I do like this jacket and will buy another one.
I loved the style and fit of this hoodie, but after 2 washes it pilled so badly on the inside that I cannot wear it unless I have long sleeves (pilling really irritates me when it is against my skin!!). The outside did not pill, did fade a little though. I could not recommend since I only wore this a handful of times and it did not last...
