I bought my first fitness fleece in April, 2009. I really liked it, and found it very comfortable and versatile. As it looked nice, I could wear it over short-sleeved shirts and not look like I'm "bumming it". :) However, I really expected more in longevity from an LL Bean product. It sheds horribly initially, repeated washings do help to minimize this. Also, 8 months after I purchased it, the hood is now separating from the trunk of the fleece... the threads seem to be coming undone. So, it's a nice product - but if you plan on using this for more than a few months, you might want to look elsewhere.
I usually wear a size XL but it ended up being too big. I exchanged it for a smaller size and they didn't have the color I wanted in the warehouse at the time. This is a great product but it would've been nice if they had more Deepest Violet color in stock.
I have five of the pullover fitness fleece and one of the zip up jackets and love them. This is my first hooded. Fits like a zip up sweatshirt with the softness of the fitness fleece. These are great because they are warm enough for around the house and thin enough to wear a coat over when you go out. They wash great and don't shrink. My only complaint is that they shed on my seatbelt and then get on other clothes but it brushes off so not too big a deal. Overall I am so glad I tried them and wear one almost every day.
I owned a fitness fleece purchased 1 year ago that I loved so much that I purchased another one. I love this one even more! The sleeves and body are longer now, so I am extremely pleased. I also own a fitness fleece vest and a zip up without the hood. Love them all! Perfect weight for those of us who live in the South or wear them indoors.
