I bought this hoodie a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It is just the right thickness and weight that I know I will be wearing it year-round. It's a great layering piece for fall, winter and spring, yet it's lightweight enough to be the perfect thing to put on over a tank top during the cooler evenings of summer. (Can you say "camping?")
The fit is exquisitely comfortable and flattering, without being too snug or too loose. I also love the MP3 pocket on the left sleeve. Super soft fleece yet durably constructed in signature L.L. Bean style.
Great fleece-the addition of the hood is welcome. I've had many fitness fleeces in the past. However, this one fits really large. I can't quite get the sizing right with Beans lately. It gets expensive having to pay for returns to exchange.
this is a great value, it is really the only llbean item that i've not been 100% happy with. the fit is mixed - to get it to be comfortable, the size i had to order up to runs long, both in length and in the arms. so, while i love the feel - very soft and very lightweight and warm, the fit is not perfect. i still enjoy wearing it around the house and under my jacket while doing errands, it is just not at all flattering like the other items i've purchased.
I ordered the tidal blue and it is a really pretty spring colour - I was surprised how light the hoodie is - it is almost like wearing a shirt and not a fleece. The sleeves are a bit long for me and you cannot roll them back because they have a slim cuff. This is a close fit in the upper arms for me.
