Finally! Elastic-back shorts that the waist doesn't get all "pouchy" across the back! (You KNOW what I mean!) Also, women's shorts with real pockets are hard to find. Nicely tailored and long enough so that they don't crawl up my legs when I sit down or walk around. I go to a lot of outdoor Blues festivals, lots of sitting and bouncing around dancing. The wrinkle-free material keeps them looking good after a long day of enjoying music and fun in the Florida sun.
I ordered 3 pair of these shorts last spring for a trip to florida. I was tired of trying to fit in the young shorts that i could find at the retail stores. These fit great, no love handles created by too short of a rise, and very easy to take care of. I wore them all summer and will be ordering another couple of pairs for this season. I won't look in another store again again for shorts.
I always ordered the bayside plain front, higher, regular waist (not comfort waist) 6" shorts and I noticed they were not offered last summer! I ordered these and they just did not fit right so I returned them! Please bring back the regular higher waist 6" shorts and cropped pants for this spring! thanks!!

i have 9 of these. the fabric is soft, the pockets are deep enough to be useful (a set of keys or cell phone won't fall out), the elastic waist makes them comfortable, particularly when sitting, the belt loops are useful, the zipper always works, they wash well, they are short enough to be attractive but long enough to be modest. i wear these every day in the late spring, summer and early fall.
