I'm a real small person and finding pants, or anything else, that fits is a real challenge. The only pants that fit me real well are the L.L. Bean jeans in the classic fit and I was hoping that these shorts would be cut the same way, but they aren't. They run bigger. I bought a size four, and they were a little loose in the legs, but, not much too big in the waist. So they'll be okay. I wish you carried a 2.
For years I purchased the comfort waist, pleated front, Bayside shorts size 6. I HATE the new cut/style. The rise is WAY too short. They sit way too low, not at the waist, as advertised, and much lower than the old style that was a bit above the waist. The pockets are shallow. The elastic at the waist is much skimpier and of poor quality. I hope they return to the previous quality and style.
I'm disappointed that Bean no longer offers the pleated comfort waist Bayside Twill shorts. I am also disappointed that the shorts are shorter than they were previously and hope the company will go back to offering the pleated comfort waist with the prior length.
