I have worn bayside twill shorts for several years and loved them until the recent changes. I do not like the 7'' rise verses the 8" rise of the previous shorts. I do not like the feel of the all cotton fabric verses the soft feel of the 60% cotton/40% polyester fabric of the previous shorts. I do not like the skimpy cut. In short, these will be the last ones I will buy.
I bought these shorts to replace another LL Bean item I have loved and worn out. (Loved my old Cotton shorts w/ drawstring waist and smooth front w/ zipper) On the new pair the fabric is very nice, length is good. I thought the comfort waist would be nice but it has too much gather on the back side and is not flattering. I think these may have to go back.
Never have I found a better short to fit my body....plus with the flat front it improves my appearance....the material is wonderful and has held up after many washings....please LLBean don't ever discontinue this short.
