These shorts are a perfect go-to when I need to get out the door in a hurry. They're a great basic backdrop for any blouse or shirt. I have big dogs and volunteer at a local shelter where I can get very mussed up. The twills wash and dry beautifully, no wrinkles. I am happy to report that I can order a size smaller; the cut on the shorts is generous.
As always L L Bean has done it again with these shorts. Not only are they comfortable but they are your typical LL Bean quality and they look nice. I would recommend giving them a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.
I just received 2 pairs of these excellent shorts, and I ordered them because I already had a pair that I have worn so much I got tired of washing them 2 or 3 times a week. I live in the deep South, and these are perfect shorts for any warm weather activity. I have worn them to lunch, dinner, and also for hiking, biking and working in the garden. They always look brand new, and the elastic band is just the right amount of comfort, but barely noticable. Love the big pockets, and the length is just right, and I am 5'6". I haven't found a better twill short for the money, this is all I wear now.
Although I had to return my first pair because of a defect, I found the shorts to fit as described. They are quickly becoming one of my favorites. Also, LLBean was excellent on handling my return and having another pair shipped right away. I definitely will continue to shop their site.
