I was looking for a lightweight shell that was waterproof for rainy days or playing in the snow with my kids. Layered with fleece underneath this jacket fits the bill. Warm for outside and light enough for in the car and errands. I usually order Large but ordered XL for more room and it just fits. Would love it even more if it were longer.
I love this jacket. but alas it doesn't fit that well on my XL body shape. The jacket is well made but I would have to wear a baseball cap under the hood to be able to see out. I hope LLBean keeps making clothes for us plus size models because we are always looking for well-made clothes at reasonable prices. Right girls?!
Love the jacket but the hood is annoying. It is much too large and constantly slips over my eyes making it impossible to see. Therefore no free hands for other things like carrying children, packages etc.
I have had my black shell for a few weeks and really like it. It is true to size, easy to move in, and very water proof. I can easily layer a mid weight sweater underneath and can still move easily. Zippers work well and seal out moisture. Lots of pockets for storage. Flattering fit. I think it is totally worth the price, even at full price.
