While the fabric and finishing was extremely nice, the button holes were impossibly tiny, & I had to SHOVE the button through with such force it was unacceptable. Never have I seen such a tight fit, to the point the holes became distorted. Also, the buttons were cheap looking which is a shame for such nice fabric.
I was a little concerned because of the mixed reviews on this item but I'm really happy I went ahead & purchased it. I purchased my usual size, large, and it fits perfect-not too tight anywhere and not too loose! I have the aqua blue & it maybe is even more colorful than the website reveals. It leans to the blue side of aqua. I haven't washed it yet but I have faith in LLBean's items to not shrink or become misshapen. It's lightweight and I live in the midwest so it's too lightweight to wear at this time-I purchased in on sale during December-but I'm looking forward to wearing it in spring. I anticipate wearing it alone or at the most, putting a smooth fit camisole underneath.
This was very cute. I wanted to keep it. But it was also very cheaply made, and not worth even the sale price of $39.99. The worst was that the button holes didn't lay straight, so it looked like the sweater was pulling and too small even before I put it on. Also, the polka dots are printed on to the fabric, which adds to the cheap look.
This cardigan has a wonderful, soft feel and is a perfect weight to wear when you are slightly chilled and one layer is just not enough. The color Sweat Pea is a very vibrant green.
