More attention to quality needed.

The shirt was very good for awhile, but the quality in not sufficient for durability.
Had the shirt a little over a year and wore about 1-2 time a month with a washing in between, so I would say about 20-24 times. Now one of the sleeves is fraying out of the cuff at one of the sleeve folds. I have bought quite a few of these in the past and never had a problem before, so I am very disappointed with this one. If the shirt would hold up longer I would rate it 5-stars, but for this I can only give it 3-stars.

Good idea, poor execution
PostedJune 11, 2013
As a younger shopper for LL Bean, most shirts are poorly cut for my style and athletic build. With "Trim" cuts are becoming available, I decided to try out the Classic Oxford in trim fit thinking LL Bean may have finally moved away from creating the boxiest, bushiest dress shirts on earth. While they did trim down the body somewhat, they made huge errors in the design: 1) the arms are spacious enough to put a leg in them - its like they took the sleeves off the regular fit and simply attached them to the trim fit, it looked absolutely ridiculous. 2) body is trimmer though the sides than regular shirts from LL Bean, but they still can't figure out how to cut the body so an athletic build (and by this I mean a guy with a tight waist) doesn't have obscene amounts of fabric billowing out at the sides and back. The collar and sleeves were true to size in terms of length, but other than that this shirt is not cut out for a physically fit male looking for a clean appearance (I've seen slightly better performance from the Signature line, but even that struggles greatly from item to item). For reference, I'm 5' 9" and about 162 pounds (trim/athlectic build, 30" waist, bought the 15/32 size shirt for this review).

Best dress shirt
PostedMay 24, 2013
I wear dress shirts for work every day. For the money, and even for a lot more money, you cannot buy a better dress shirt. Fits well, wears well, remains wrinkle-free for a long time. I've had a few of these for about three years, wear each one about once a week, the oldest ones are just starting to fray around the collar. One thing I have found helps keep them wrinkle-free is to hang up after wearing.

Overly large cuffs
PostedMay 23, 2013
It's a very nice shirt, however the cuffs are humongous. They seem to be made for people with 9" wrists. Since there is no extra button on the cuffs to make them smaller, I'm going to have to return the item.
