Great Shirt!
PostedMay 11, 2012
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable
This shirt was ready to wear when I got it and it stays wrinkle free for the whole day. When I wash and dry it I can hang it on a hanger without having to iron it. The sizing is perfect and it's very comfortable to wear.

A wardrobe staple

ProsDurable, Comfortable
Off-the-rack shirts that fit me decently (i.e. minimal balloon-age) are hard to find. However, this is one of the few that has fit me well right out of the package. The lines of the trim fit definitely cut down on the capacious box shape of most dress/oxford buttondowns, and the shoulders and sleeves fit remarkably well. The fabric is a little stiff, but I suspect that it will soften nicely with age. The construction of the shirt is well-done and appears that it will last for some time.
My one "complaint" is the comfort of the collar, especially with a tie. The tag at the back of the band is a bit scratchy/itchy.
That aside, this shirt is fast becoming a frequent-wearer in my collection.

Not a trim fit but durable and good value

ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, but too bulky not "trim"
I was disappointed with the so-called "trim" fit and kept me from ordering again from LL Bean. Trying again now in the hope that they have their sizing sorted! I am a 41inch chest, 173 pounds, 6'1" tall and with 36-37 inch arms. In other words, lanky and slender - and that is what brought me to LLBean in the first place. But this shirt was too bulky in the arms and around the waist. Otherwise a very durable shirt, with thick cotton and easy-care out of the dryer. A very quick iron makes this shirt very presentable. It travels well and is good for work or casual. Come on LLBean - tighten up on the sizing please and make this a shirt into a GREAT shirt!

Wrong sizing
PostedFebruary 4, 2012
I purchased this in a 15 1/2 neck, 36 sleeve for my 6'4" 195 lb 16 year old son. We had gone to the stores and had sticker shock but also gotten him properly measured. So I thought Bean would have a shirt that fit properly using the measurements. Well, he tried it on and the sleeves were short hitting the top of his wrist bones. So we are sending this back and trying another shirt.
Why not have the 37" sleeves and having it in the tall sizing? Usually I love Bean's sizing. Having a tall family, this is where I usually shop, so I am quite disappointed that the shirt didn't fit.
