A nice shirt but not trim on a slim person (32 waist). I have ordered two shirts. One is medium/trim and fits perfectly. This one is 16.5/33/trim but its sleeves are roomier than most regular-fit shirts I have had. It is similar to regular-fit over my chest as well. Would not recommend if you are slim and are looking for trim-fit.
Why can't we have the same selection of colors as is available in the standard fitting shirts? I was so excited when I saw the wonderful selection in the catalog (though had I read the description fully, I probably would not even have bothered getting online). What's the problem with giving us the red and/or green stripe? I'm going to buy one shirt, but you would've sold me more if you had offered some variety.
I am a pretty small frame guy - weighing in at 160 lbs, I purchase 'small' sweaters, and have an average body build. I was anxious to purchase the llbean "trim fit wrinkle resistant oxford shirt" - thinking that finally, this durable (believe me, it's durable!) shirt would fit me nicely. Unfortunately, other reviewers are correct in their assessment that it is not really trim. The shoulders are too big, WAY too much room in the arms, and still extra room around the chest. This shirt does indeed prevent bunching around the waistline, but will not suit the small framed man who wants stylish/durable llbean quality. PLEASE llbean, find a fit for us smaller gentleman - perhaps choice of size S, M, or L in addition to the neck and sleeve length??
llbean will always be my clothier of choice, however, business is lost in the casual/dress shirt department.
This shirt fits my athletic body type well. The trim fit helps prevent bunching at the waist. The quality of the material is outstanding. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.
