This shirt is well worth every penny. I love taking it out of the dryer and it looking perfect, with no ironing needed. I wish there were more colors for trim fit shirts available, and more shirts where you can choose the neck size and sleeve length. (My husband is tall and lean with long arms.) The LLBean Oxford dress shirts are the best shirts we have ever bought! Thanks!
This "trim fit" is anything but! Love the shirt, but please. Also agree that you need at least one more color. I still have a light beige version received as a gift decades ago (yes, that durable, but now ready to go) and I'd like more. Perhaps you should consider the market for some school colors as well.
This shirt will not wrinkle, and in that respect qualifies as a versatile addition to any wardrobe. However, the trim fit is trim in some respects, but not in others. Without naming companies, I will say I have worn other trim fit shirts. Generally, you can expect trim fit to mean a tighter fit around the midsection and arms. Think of it as a tummy-tuck for a shirt's general volume. With this shirt, the "trimness" is very modest and almost too cautious in a sense. It is as if L.L. Bean wanted to make the shirt wearable by those specifically seeking trim fit shirts and those who are not. In other stores, trim fit means just that: If you are not trim, it will not fit! In sum, more fabric could be removed to make the shirt even more trim, especially in the upper arm portion of the shirt. And, of course, there's always the option of one growing into it. Otherwise, great price and quality as always.
