Best dress shirt I have ever owned. I get compliments on it all the time. The trim fit is the way to go... the regular fit looks like I'm wearing a tent.
LLBean - why not offer this trim fit in more colors???
I'm sending this one back. Who ever sewed this one messed up bad. The Back panel is as large as a non fitted shirt. The collar is actually larger, but because of the way the shirt is put together it's too tight.
Regular Bean oxford shirts tend to be pretty puffy at the beltlline if you aren't overweight. For me, with a size 40 jacket, 34 waist, 160#, the trim fit is much better without being at all tight around the middle. My only complaint is that the shirts are cut pretty short (and I'm only 5'8"), much less generously than the regular wrinkle free oxfords. If your pants sag down a bit, you'll find yourself tucking the shirt back in a few times a day. Just like the regular fit, they do look remarkably crisp out of the dryer without ironing, so I did buy 4 more despite the drawback.
