The product description reads: "Finished with meticulous construction details you would expect to find only in more expensive dress shirts." A some companies that kind of language is just marketing fluff, but in this instance it's absolutely accurate.
I'm amazed at how well this shirt is finished given the price. The fabric is a fine oxford, closer to pinpoint than "beefy", which I think will be better for warm weather. The white is dazzling. Have not worn or washed it yet but given the obvious quality and other positive reviews I'll be surprised if that aspect is not satisfactory as well.
I ordered this shirt for my husband, who has a hard time finding shirts that fit him well (5'8'', 135 lbs.). These trim fit shirts fit him perfectly! He has already ordered two more. And they really are wrinkle-free, as long as you take them out of the dryer right away. I have a bad habit of forgetting clothes are in the dryer, which does result in a few wrinkles in this shirt. But even then, ironing doesn't take nearly as long as a regular shirt.
I have been wearing the classic oxford shirt from LL Bean for a long time. The new trim fit style actually fits better on me than those of the regular fit. I just wish there is more color choices. Also wish for a short sleeve option. Definitely recommend.
I was definitely a fan of the regular wrinkle-resistant oxford. It felt very sturdy and the material was of very high quality. However, it was quite loose about the middle and when I wear it, I perpetually must be tucking it in and tightening it around my midsection. So you can imagine my excitement when LLbean came out with the trim fit. I just got it and when I put it on, it fit magnificently. The sleeves were noticeably shorter and there is definitely less parachuting compared to the regular sized oxford, so take that into account when ordering. But the smaller sizing fits me perfectly. five stars.
