I buy these shirts because the Trim Fit and the sizes available is my perfect fit. I have a broad shoulder and long arms and it is a nightmare getting good fitting shirts. LLBean shirts has all the boxes checked for me so I will pay the price. Wash and Wear does not do it for me. My shirts must be washed and ironed no matter what. However, the wrinkle resistant characteristic makes ironing easier. The length of the shirt is on target. The shirt is not going to do any pants jumping. Finally, the buttons - they stand up without cracking and splitting. so, for the picky tailored look at a reasonable price this is a bench marker.
Coming of age and 14 1/2 is tough to find. He loves this shirt and with a growth spurt he will be needing a larger size. The shirt performs wonderfully and grandson looks sharp. Winna!
I like the cloth, which surely will become softer and softer with every washing.
Btw. an OCDB is the best choice, if you like a great everyday shirt.
Even if I ordered US sizes for the first time, L.L.Bean's measure info did a great job, so that the shirt fits perfectly at neck and sleeves. But I hope it won't shrink...
But I must say, that I've expected the shirt to be really trim just like it says. It's not bulky, but it could have a tighter fit at the upper arms and armholes. But it's not trim compared to German sizes.
The shirt is made in Malaysia, for those who want to know.
