My pink Baby Ben folding alarm clock is charming, fun and fuctional. It is easy to use and very sturdy. The alarm sound is quite pleasent. I had been worried that it would be so loud it would shoot me through the roof, but that is not the case. Being metal, it is heavier than a plastic clock, but not by much.
This is a gem.It feels great in your hand-is solid and works beautifully. The color is great and it ticks softly. I also have the larger one and I ordered another little one because I liked it so much and wanted another color. Also bought one for a friend's birthday. I love it. L.L.Bean's is the BEST.
Decades ago, I worked in a discount department store that sold Baby Ben clocks behind the fine jewelry counter. It was best seller. We couldn't keep that clock in stock. When I saw this miniature clock in the new catalog, I felt a pang of nostalgia. It is a serious little clock. Sturdy, welll made, has its own cover and is available in bright colors. It fits easily in a carry-on and very reliable. I bought one for myself and I now intend to buy more as xmas gifts for my travelling friends.
