The clock face has large legible features in a solid metal face and stand. The sturdy, well fitting case front and back cover protect the clock while you travel and convert into a self contained stand. The clock is even sent with a battery inserted but covered so it will not lose power prior to receipt.
I bought my clock only 2 days ago, activated it and found it loses about 10 minutes every 24 hours which is unaccepatable for my use (travel). Other features are good, including sturdiness but if I have to carry a tiny screwdriver (and extra 357A batteries) to frequently replace a battery it makes the product undesirable for its intended use, travel/portability.

I found the previous reviews helpful. I was not buying this as a travel alarm but as a clock to use in the bathroon and it would have looked strange if it was large. This clock is perfect for that - even my husband made a positive comment. I've had it for more than a month and it's worked fine so far.
