Well made, looks beautiful. Two big issues: 1. it makes a good ticking noise at night. Not so good if you are insomniac. 2. can't see it AT ALL in the dark.
This travel clock replaced the old wind- up style travel clock with fold open lid that was about 2" square we had for several years. We have the Baby Ben for about 6 months now. It has several shortcomings. The alarm is inaccurate - about plus/minus 30 minutes. The cover does not have a locking mechanism so it flips open.(You need a rubber band to keep ity closed). The folding cover is flimsy with one hinge point so I don't expect it to last very long. The alarm is not real loud. One good thing. It has been dropped a few times and it still works. It does have a heavy metal case. I wish they still made the old simple style wind-up travel clocks instead of battery operated.
Perfect clock for travel... Compact and easy to use. Dials are luminous.Very nice style , I have the larger clocks of this style from LL Bean, also.. The older ones are continuing to work well. I gave it 4 starts, as the alarm could be a bit louder... However that may not be possible, given the small size...
