It's a good versatile belt, that can be worn with jeans or khakis.
However, I think the finish is a little too shiny for a "jeans belt." I hope it holds up well without scuffing. The leather could have been a bit thicker, too. When I think "jeans belt" I think rugged. This belt is fine for casual use, but I'd never consider it for heavy duty work where I'd have my tool holsters on it.
My husband selected this belt to replace his old favorite. He is quite pleased with this new belt. The feel and weight are just right, the closure secure.His size wasn't easy to find elsewhere, so we were happy to find it at llbean. How good is it to select from a photo and have the product match your expectation!?!
I have only had this belt a week, or I might have rated it with 5 stars. It replaced a succession of other belts that I have tried. All of them cracked and wore out after only a few months. This one looks like it will last much longer. One thing I did was treat it with a liquid leather conditioner (Lexol) to soften it up even more than it was and help to inhibit the cracking I experienced with other belts. I don't know if it need this, but I felt better. I would recommend this belt partly because it impresses me with its quality and partly because it's from Bean, a company whose products I have purchased for years because of their outstanding quality, and Bean's service. (No, I'm not related to anyone at the company :-) )
