Belt is GREAT. I have used the belt for 9 months and have not had any slippage issues. Use belt for working, hiking, etc. ... no issues. The comment to shorten it by using a HOT putty works SUPER!!!!!
Own a patterned LL Bean belt that is properly stiff and slides into belt loops and into its buckle easily. Ordered the black belt and out of the package found it limp, and could not easily get it through the belt buckle. The end is almost too wide for the buckle openings. Simple problem, perhaps a manufacturing defect.
EZ to cinch, stays cinched, looks great with jeans

I've been wearing this belt for a few months. Usually by this time most belts begin to change shape in the back, this one doesn't. The belt shows no sign of wear. Would recommend!
Got this belt to hold up my snow pants. It's not snowing yet, but I did put the belt to the test on the snow pants. The Overland Belt holds strong and tight…no recinching necessary (that is the #1 criteria for me). I have a 42 "waste", so I ordered the XL and the fit is close to perfect…about 6 inches of tail. I don't find it overly difficult to chinch tight, although it does take a few seconds longer than a standard belt. The Overland Belt is quality made in the USA for L.L.Bean by Bison Designs.
