I bought this from LLBean because I previously purchased a nearly identical belt from a local store and loved it. I read the reviews and noticed that a couple of people mentioned difficulty adjusting it. I now know why. My buckle was attached the wrong way. There's a long side and a short side. When the belt is worn it's the short side through which the other end of the belt first passes. The picture in the catalog is correct. If the buckle is reversed it's difficult to adjust. I considered sending it back for an exchange, but my wife was able to fix it. Now I enjoy two great belts!
The belt is tough, practical, and sharp looking. This belt is versatile as it looks fine for everyday wear and stands up well for outdoor work and outdoor sports. The width and anti-roll stiffness of the nylon webbing material keeps the "middle age waist roll look" to a minimum. This is no big deal for those of you with 2% body fat, but for fairly well fed late middle aged guys this is important. The belt works well in combination with Bean's Allagash Cargo Pants. I just wish the belt was available in more colors.
Belt is fine, but fairly wide, meaning it can barely get through the loops on some pants. Also, ordered a Large, which is too long. Will probably order a Medium to see if that works better. My pant size is 36.
